Value faces was another assignment. The drawing approach used was to block in the value pattern. the materials used were medium vine charcoal, kneaded erasers, and 18x24 drawing paper. The lesson was seeing and drawing the whole before the parts and to draw with series of relationships.

In this activity I drew a skull. Measured line was the drawing approach. The materials used was 18x24 paper and vine charcoal. The lesson learned was to try to see and draw the whole before the parts and details, and watching out for "flip to grid".

For this class assignment I had to draw my hand using the Observed Continous line and contour method. Materials used was a 9b woodless pencil. Taking a sheet of drawing paper, I drew my hand slowly looking at my hand and the paper The purpose of this activity was to not name the object I was drawing.

For a class assignment I had to draw my hand using Blind continous line, and contour methd, Materials used was 9B woodless pencil. Concentrating on my object I did not look at the paper, but drew what I saw while ONLY looking at my hand. The purpose of this assignment was to see our hands as hands to look at them as objects other than what they actually were. Also to see beyond the idea of perfection.
